The Bookstore

An urban strategically located well lit store. Its modern design gives you the impression as if they have built the place and turned it inside out. No effort has been made to hide the whole plumbing network neither the cables which power the posh building designed according to current trends. The ceiling is dark and low. Bright light bulbs hang from the ceiling placed in circular reflectors. What they are throwing light on are the books.

Books neatly placed in different shelves. Books of all kinds. The hardcovers. The paperbacks. The Books shouting to judge them by their cover and those that don't want to be judged at all. There are some that are as real as they can be, others that take you to a fantasy world. There are graphical illustrated ones and other real fat ones with just tightly spaced words in them. There are the controversial ones and the not so famous ones. There are books that can be categorised and other ones which  can be marginalised.

In this wonderful world of bound paper and words, I seem to get lost losing track of time. The most enjoyable experience is when I go there without a specific book on my mind. Fleeting between shelves picking up books with catchy titles and reading their descriptions on the dust jackets.

Books sure are great companions, especially the good ones. So go grab a book and be enlightened.
